Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will meet by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Entebbe is located on the northern shores of Lake Victoria, Africa's largest lake, and is located approximately 37 kilometres southwest of the Uganda capital of Kampala. With it pleasant climate, you can enjoy and explore many places including the various parks, beaches, islands, botanical gardens, national zoo and more.

Entebbe - Kihihi - Bwindi
You will enjoy your morning breakfast before your transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Bwindi. Flying over the third largest lake in the world will give you an incredible perspective of just how beautiful Uganda is. Lake Victoria is dotted with several islands and fishing villages which can be seen at taking off and landing.

Upon Arrival at the airstrip, you will be met and greeted by our representative who will then transfer you to Bwindi National Park and check into your lodge. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore the surrounds of your lodge or perhaps take a short guided trek.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a lush and dense forest situated on the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley, offering a stunning backdrop for your wildlife expedition. The park is renowned for its population of endangered mountain gorillas, making it a prime destination for unforgettable gorilla trekking experiences. Embark on a thrilling journey through the dense vegetation, following expert guides who will lead you to these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and boasts incredible biodiversity. Besides gorillas, the park is home to a wide range of species, including monkeys, elephants, antelopes, and over 350 species of birds, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts.

*Please note: the transfer from Kihihi airstrip to the Buhoma sector of Bwindi will take around 1.5 hours and the road can be a little bit bumpy, it does give you enough time to contemplate your gorilla adventure ahead as well as being captivated by the incredible scenery synonymous with this part of Uganda.

Luggage Restrictions:
Please note: On all of your light aircraft flights your luggage is restricted to 15kg per person which should include hand luggage and camera equipment. Only soft sided bags will be accepted - no hard suitcases or bags with wheels can be transported as they physically cannot fit into the aircraft's luggage compartment.

As a guideline, standard checked luggage should have the three dimensions of 24 inches (60cm) height, by 18 inches (45cm) length and 13 inches (33cm) width. For hand luggage, 12 inches (30cm) height, by 21 inches (53cm) length, by 9 inches (23cm) width.

Gorilla Trekking
The time for your gorilla trekking experience is here! You will have an early morning transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing with the Uganda Wildlife Authority guides who will educate you on the procedures to follow while on the trek. Before you advance into the thick vegetation of Bwindi Forest, an advance team of guides will have gone in ahead of you to trace where the gorillas slept the previous night. Once the gorillas have been found, they will then send a message via radio giving you a go head to enter the forest. As you venture into the forest, you may be able to spot various types of wildlife including primates such as chimpanzees, baboons and the L'Hoest's monkey. When you finally encounter the gorillas you will be allowed one hour to study their behaviour and interact with them. After completing your trek, you will return to the lodge where you have the rest of the day at leisure to reflect on an amazing experience.

Departure
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel this morning before being transferred to the Kihihi Airstrip to catch your scheduled flight back to Entebbe where you will connect with your departing international flight.
