Adventure hotel operator Explora are opening a new hotel in the Sacred Valley, due to open this July. Carefully squeezed between the vertical Andean slopes and crisscrossed by the lazy waters of the Urubamba River, the Sacred Valley was once the heartland of the Inca Empire. Considered sacred due to its fertility and beauty, it remains as one of the world’s natural and cultural jewels to this day. The hotel is an ideal base from which to explore the Sacred Valley. Explora Valle Sagrado is located within a traditional corn plantation, locked away in one of the valley’s most secluded haciendas, close to both Cusco and Machu Picchu. Its construction is based around essential luxuries, allowing the traveller to inhabit the remote location in its essence without distractions.
