Day 1: Arrive to Oslo
Welcome to the Kingdom of Norway!!! – A country with the most beautiful fjords on Earth.
Arrive to Oslo, vibrant city surrounded by forests and the beautiful Oslofjord. Upon arrival, transfer to a hotel in the city centre by shuttle bus transfer. Rest of the day at leisure - walk along the streets and explore the city of the royal family, and the main Karl Johan’s street, with many shops, bars and cafes.
Arrival back to Gardermoen Airport and transfer on your own to your hotel in Oslo city center.
Check in to your hotel and rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Oslo - Guided sightseeing tour – 5h by bus + 2 hrs by cruise
The tour is a perfect combination of all the “must see” attractions in Oslo: the main landmarks in the city center, the impressive Holmenkollen ski jump, the stunning Vigeland Sculpture Park, visits to the Fram Museum and to the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History, which will be followed by and a delightful 2-hour cruise on Oslo fjord. The best way to explore all the city’s highlights and to admire the natural splendour of Oslo from the sea! A complete and unforgettable experience!
Transfer on your own to and from the meeting point of this activity, its about 1.2km to the meeting point.
Day 3: Oslo - Flam
Drop off your luggage at the hotel reception for the luggage transfer and transfer to a train station on your own. Norway in a Nutshell Adventure! Board your train in the morning towards Myrdal; final destination for today is Flåm. Myrdal station is a mountain railway station and junction, located about 13 km from the village Flåm. Here you will board the famous Flåmsbana - one of the steepest trainlines in the world. The train journey runs through fantastic nature, past the Rallar road, steep mountains, breath-taking waterfalls, through 20 tunnels and offers so many viewpoints that many feel like travelling multiple times between the mountain and the fjord.
Arrive to Flåm, where you will have some free time to discover this beautiful village.
Day 4: Flam to Bergen
Today you will continue on this scenic adventure as you depart from Flåm by boat. You will enjoy a cruise on the Aurlandsjord and Nærøyfjord (UNESCO), the arms of the famous Sognefjord, which is also called the King of the Fjords. Some call them the most beautiful fjords of Norway – we will let you to be a judge of that. Upon arrival to Gudvangen, transfer to Voss by bus, where you will board your train to Bergen. After late arrival to Bergen, walk to your hotel across the street from the railway station.
Day 5: Bergen to Tromso
Enjoy the breakfast and the hotel and discover this world heritage city on your own today. Bergen is the Gateway to the Fjords of Norway. As a UNESCO World Heritage City and a European City of Culture, the Bergen region has the ideal combination of nature, culture and exciting urban life all year around. Pass through the most emblematic places such as the Hanseatic Bryggen, with the church of Mary, the Hakon fortress and the famous fish market. Take a ride on the spectacular Fløibanen Funicular, which will take you on the top of the Mountain Fløyen, for overall view of the city.
In the afternoon you will be transferred to Bergen airport to catch your flight to Tromsø ( Flight not included ) Once you arrive to Tromso you will get transferred by shuttle bus to city centre. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.
Day 6: Tromso - Northern lights chase by bus
The tour departs from the center of Tromsø, from where you will drive by bus to the location with the highest possibilities of aurora viewing. The guide will take you to locations with low light pollution and minimal cloud coverage. Once you will find the most suitable location, hot drinks and biscuits will be served. The guide will stay your throughout the whole evening and will make sure that you are as comfortable and warm as possible. If you are lucky and the phenomenon will appear on the sky, the guide will take some portrait photos which will be sent to you after the tour.
Day 7: Tromso - Reindeer Sledding & Sami Culture
Today you will join an excursion to a reindeer farm, where you will meet and feed a herd of over 300 reindeers. In the meantime, you can enjoy the untouched Arctic nature around you as you marvel the Lyngen Alps through sledding and learn more about this ancient culture. The duration of this tour is 4.5 hours.
Day 8: Depart
After enjoying your breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Tromso airport for onward travel arrangements.
